About BEYOA
We are Panama's first travel company dedicated exclusively to celebrating and preserving Afro-Panamanian culture through unforgettable, purposeful experiences.
Our Story
BEYOA was founded with a single conviction: that the most powerful travel experiences are the ones that connect people — not just to places, but to cultures, histories, and communities. Panama's Afro-Caribbean heritage is one of the most vibrant and underrepresented stories in the Americas, and BEYOA exists to change that.
From the rhythms of Congo at Portobelo to the midnight energy of Panama City's Afro-influenced nightlife, every BEYOA experience is curated to be authentic, immersive, and transformational. We work directly with local artists, musicians, chefs, and cultural guides whose families have kept these traditions alive for generations.
Our Mission
Tourism with Purpose isn't a tagline — it's a commitment. Every booking directly supports the local community: a percentage of every experience goes to cultural organizations, local artisans, and community programs that keep Afro-Panamanian traditions alive for future generations.
We believe travelers deserve more than a surface-level visit. We build experiences that foster genuine understanding, celebrate diversity, and create lasting memories rooted in truth.
What Makes Us Different
Bilingual local guides. Every BEYOA experience is led by Afro-Panamanian guides who are deeply connected to the culture they share — not just tour guides, but cultural ambassadors.
Curated, not generic. We don't run cookie-cutter tours. Each experience is designed with intention — the right venues, the right people, the right moments.
Small groups, big impact. We keep groups small so every traveler gets a real, personal experience — and so our footprint in the community stays positive.
Our Experiences
Our flagship experiences include The OG Crawl — Panama's original Afro-influenced bar crawl through Casco Viejo — and The LX Crawl, a premium nightlife experience in the heart of the city. We also offer Afro-Heritage cultural tours, gastronomic journeys through Afro-Panamanian cuisine, and island excursions to San Blas and beyond.
